Rocío Zambrana, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of Graduate Studies, is the recipient of 2019 Director of Graduate Studies Excellence Award.

This award recognizes that graduate program directors are charged with managing the essentials of a graduate program, a complex and multi-dimensional enterprise that also requires sensitive diplomacy. The UO Graduate School seeks to recognize faculty members who exceed expectations by making innovative or unique contributions that improve the quality of the graduate program and graduate student experience. The Graduate School also seeks to highlight best practices that can be shared to enhance the overall quality of graduate education at the University of Oregon.

Rocío will be recognized at the UO Faculty Excellence Award ceremony on Tuesday, May 28th at 5:00 pm in Global Scholars Hall.
