The first step to graduating with your Philosophy degree is to apply for your degree online.
Please note that applying for your degree is not required if you just want to participate in the Commencement festivities with others in your class; however, if you don’t apply, you will not receive a physical diploma. Students are allowed to apply for graduation up to twelve months before the intended term of graduation.

Undergraduate Degree application deadlines:
Please note: the last day for undergraduate students to apply for graduation is Sunday at 11:59 PM after the fourth week of classes. After that, DuckWeb will no longer allow students to apply for graduation online; students must visit the Office of the Registrar and file a late petition to graduate.

• Spring – Sunday, 24 April 2022
• Summer – Sunday, 17 July 2022

Graduate Degree application deadlines:
Please note: graduate students planning to receive an advanced degree or graduate certificate must file an online application for advanced degree no later than the end of the second week of classes in the term of completion.

• Spring – Friday, 8 April 2022
• Summer – Friday, 1 July 2022

Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall graduates are welcome to participate in our Spring 2022 Commencement ceremony (the Department does not hold a Summer Commencement ceremony).
