Joint Book Talk – Erin McKenna and Debra Merskin


A special event has been scheduled to celebrate the recent publication of two animal-oriented monographs by UO faculty and long-time Human/Animal RIG members Erin McKenna, Professor of Philosophy & Director of Undergraduate Studies, and Debra Merskin, Professor of Journalism and Communication.

McKenna and Merskin will present overviews of, and field questions regarding, their respective releases: Seeing Species: Re-presentations of Animals in Media and Popular Culture (Peter Lang, 2018) and Livestock: Food, Fiber, and Friends (University of Georgia Press, 2018).

The event will take place 11:00am–1:00pm on Friday May 18 in Room 111 Susan Campbell Hall.
