Peter Warnek, Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies, serves as the official adviser for all philosophy majors and minors. Every year, two graduate students in philosophy assist him. For the 2007-08 academic year, the assistants will be Kara Barnette and Mat Foust. Students need to meet with an adviser at least once each year to discuss their academic interests, progress, and plans. While it is not required, all students are urged to meet with an adviser during the spring before they begin their senior year. Students interested in pursuing graduate study in philosophy may meet with Professor Warnek, who also serves as the adviser for those hoping to go on to graduate study. Students interested in combining philosophy with pre-law study may meet with Professor Cheyney Ryan who serves as the department's pre-law adviser. Peter Warnek |
