Buchholz MB & Hartkamp N (1997) (Eds) Supervision im Fokus - Polyzentrische Analysen einer Team-Supervision. Westdeutscher Verlag, Opladen
The book opens with a transcript of a supervisory session of a team. Different methods are applied and compared to analyze the process: CCRT, SASB, clinical psychoanalysis and a new method: The Analysis of Metaphors. Experienced clinicians comment on the results. Thus this is an attempt to bridge the gap between practice and research in the field of psychotherapy process research. The results are synoptically reviewed and summarized.
The well known methods of CCRT and SASB are here applied for the first time to a group and the limits and values of these methods are discussed by experienced users of the method. The analysis of metaphors is based on developments in the field of cognitive linguistics (George Lakoff); the method has been applied to singular sessions and complete therapies.
