Celebration of Women and Feminism in Philosophy, 31 May 2013
The UO Department of Philosophy
will host
The Third Annual
Celebration of Women and Feminism in Philosophy
Friday May 31, 2013
7:30-9:30 pm
Vero Espresso
14th and Pearl
The first event was originally conceived by doctoral student Katherine Logan and alumni Sarah LaChance Adams, as Co-Coordinators of Undergraduate Outreach for the Feminist Philosophy RIG, as an event that would provide a welcoming space for all women and feminists in Philosophy, especially undergraduates. Relationships make an enormous difference in whether or not a member of an underrepresented group will persist in her or his study of Philosophy, and events like these offer a great opportunity to develop these relationships and to celebrate the end of another busy and successful academic year.
All members of the department — undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and friends — are welcome!
